Most of the visits to our San Diego kids dentist office are for regular checkups and dental treatments as needed, and those types of appointments are typically scheduled in advance. But, occasionally an emergency situation may occur that requires immediate treatment, and our office is happy to accommodate you for dental emergencies.
An emergency may arise from knocking a tooth by falling down, an injury on a trampoline or bicycle, or a sports activity. Other times, the emergency may be related to a toothache or a cut on the lip or the cheek. If you encounter a situation where a tooth has been knocked out or damaged, it is best to seek dental help as soon as possible in order to avoid further problems.
When a permanent tooth has been knocked out, call our San Diego kids dentist office immediately to let us know that you are coming, and bring the tooth to the appointment. Time is of the essence, so it is important that you come to the dentist office as soon as possible. Hold the tooth by the crown, and gently wash it with warm water. Store it in warm water or milk to transport it to the dental office.
